FAQ (quick answers)

Do I need a Misro account?

Yes for Say (chat/vision). Whisper is local and does not need sign-in.

Does MisroAI cost money?

There is no MisroAI subscription. Cloud providers you enable for Say may have their own pricing.

Will this block my app windows or calls?

No. The floating icon and helper pill are designed to stay out of the way and stay available at the edge.

What powers speech-to-text?

whisper.cpp on your machine. Optional meeting audio when you allow screen capture.

Is there a separate “speaker” button?

No separate speaker control—mic input can include system audio when capture is allowed.

What’s the difference between AI Helper and Interview Helper?

AI Helper shows Capture, Mic, and Say—best for quick screenshots and short dictation. Interview Helper shows Capture, Say, and the wave control for Interview mode (ongoing local Whisper transcription under the pill)—no separate Mic.

Can I use this to cheat in interviews or exams?

No. MisroAI is for learning, practice, and communication support only. Use it responsibly and follow your interviewer, employer, school, and test policies.

Why does my proctoring or exam site warn when I open MisroAI?

Proctoring pages often watch window focus, tab visibility, or whether the pointer stayed inside the page. When you switch to MisroAI (or any desktop app), the browser usually reports that the exam tab is in the background or unfocused—that is expected and MisroAI cannot change code on another company’s site. If your session is proctored and other apps are not allowed, do not run MisroAI during that exam.
